The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) is open to excellent students from both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA countries who are applying for a graduate (MSc) program at the University of Twente.
Selected students receive a scholarship ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 for one academic year.

Requirements for the University of Twente Scholarship 2026
To be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Apply for a postgraduate master’s degree at the University of Twente and receive an admission letter

Have a student number
-
OR be an undergraduate student at UT who has not yet received a degree

Meet the requirements to obtain an entry visa for the Netherlands (if applicable)

Meet the English language requirements:

Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT 90), plus a minimum of IELTS 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) in speaking

This requirement is not necessary for applicants from English-speaking countries

Not be eligible for a Dutch study loan

Be an excellent student, typically ranking in the top 5–10% of your class
Scholarship Duration and Award for University of Twente 2026

Extension for Two-Year Programs
Students enrolled in two-year master’s programs may be eligible for an additional UTS award for the second year.

Completed at least 50% of European Credits
