The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has started a significant human capital development effort that would train over 10,000 young Nigerians in highly sought-after skills for the oil and gas industry.

The Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Program is the official name of the program, which aims to prepare graduates and technicians for new opportunities in oil and gas projects. Major investments in Nigeria's energy sector have increased recently, which is driving these initiatives.

The NCDMB Oil and Gas Training Program will be carried out in collaboration with at least three service businesses in each chosen skill area to guarantee participants obtain practical experience and are completely prepared for the workforce.

Eligibility Requirements for NCDMB Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training

To be considered for the NCDMB Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a Nigerian citizen

• Be below 35 years of age

• Hold an OND, HND, or BSc in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or related disciplines

Benefits of NCDMB Oil and Gas Training 2025

Over the course of two to three years, the NCDMB Oil and Gas Training Program will combine professional certification, laboratory work, classroom instruction, and at least six months of on-the-job training in partnership with top service businesses.

Throughout the training time, participants will also receive insurance coverage, personal safety equipment, monthly stipends, and medical checks.
